The famous birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford-Upon-Avon offers a hugely educational experience for English, Drama and History students.
Visit any of the evocative Shakespearean Properties and enjoy a Shakespearean production at one of the theatres, from Macbeth to Romeo and Juliet, all of them bringing the classroom to life. Other places of interest in the surrounding areas include Warwick Castle, Cadbury World and the National Space Centre.
Itinerary
Below is just a sample itinerary for the Stratford-upon-Avon trip:
- Day 1Be introduced to Stratford-upon-Avon’s charm during a guided ‘Town Walk’. You may wish to go to one of the productions at the Royal Shakespeare or Swan Theatre this afternoon or evening, depending on what’s on at the time.
- Day 2A visit to Shakespeare’s birthplace and some of the other Shakespearean Properties is essential! Enjoy a cruise down the River Avon, or go on a ‘behind the scenes’ or ‘after dark’ tour offered by the RSC. You can also go to the top of the tower for a 360 view of the town.
- Day 3Finish the tour with a fun filled day in Alton Towers theme park!
